I always like trying new things. And that’s what this session was all about, new things. I found an Instagram account called Foam Bakery. They are absolutely darling and their entire goal is to make foam donuts. So I contacted them and asked if I could use some foam donuts for a photo session. And they sent me a dozen of their cutest most delicious-looking donuts.
So for this session I asked the girls to be sweet, and handed them the stack of donuts. They posed on their own, and came up with the cutest pictures. It’s actually hard to come up with different poses with a prop you are supposed to eat, but not use. But they did an incredible job.
I recently peeked at @foambakery on Insta and it looks like maybe they have gone out of business or are temporarily closed at the moment. Which is unfortunate, because they really have an adorable product. But you can try their website at www.foambakery.com to see if they are up and running again.
Photographers: they make a great prop if they open up their shop again! Speaking of props, what unconventional props have you found that worked out great? I feel like seniors sometimes get stuck on what to use for props because they don’t know what to do with unconventional items. I’m a little over balloons, letterman jackets, and framed baby pictures.
Sweet Pastel Colors
I really love the adorable colors we used in this session. The pastel colors are so sweet which goes perfectly with the donuts! I love how the purple and green hair adds a little pop against the adorable pastel pink background. All of the girls look really great in the fun hair colors. Maybe I should start adding more colored hair to my sessions. What do you think?
