This one. She is such a good cookie. She is thoroughly and utterly a genuine person. I was a little hesitant when I first met Siera because she has such a big personality and an abundance of humor. When I say abundance, I mean ABUNDANCE of humor. I can not help but laugh when I am around her because she doesn’t take anything too seriously is such a good way.
I can not believe how all of my sessions this year have been very location specific. What I mean by that is that I like to photograph each of my seniors in a location that is specific to what they like; the location must fit into the story of who they are. This year has started with a lot of different locations, because each personality is so incredibly different. I knew for Siera we needed something to fit her big personality, but I didn’t know how wonderful correct the location would be until we were almost done with the session.
An unintended goal this year has been to really fit the senior to the location. This goal has lead me to a lot of new places this year. It has been such an exciting year because of that. It makes everything feel fresh and new. Photographing senior after senior can sometimes feel stale, however this year seems like such an adventure and there is NOTHING stale about it. It makes me love my job even more everyday.
(My real goal this year was to travel more and I will write an entire blog post about that soon!)
These unique ballet pictures were perfect for Siera. This is exactly who she is!
Siera, what is true beauty?
The reflection of a kind, genuine, positive inside. You can look stunning but if you’re rude then I don’t see beauty in that.
