Black And White To Delight
http://destinations.co.uk/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/1890 These black and white studio shots were really fun to create. I used a simple background. You would never know the color because obviously these images are in black and white, with all the color extracted. But the color of the background was actually raspberry. It’s one of my favorite colors to shoot on, however I don’t use it very much because it doesn’t go with everything. It takes a special type of outfit to show off raspberry and not have it be overwhelming.
Black and White, But Really Raspberry
Morgan was wearing an all black outfit, so raspberry worked well. She had just colored her hair, which made the raspberry color make perfect sense. Again, you can’t tell it in the black and white versions on these images because the color has been stripped. But her hair was a silky black half and a deep, dark blue on the other half. It was well done and it looked great. I should show off those images too.
Black and White and Blue
Hair color is sometimes tricky to show on camera because you can only see the deep dark color when light is reflected off of it. You can’t see her hair color at all in these images, obviously because of the black and white nature of the photos.
What You Can’t See
One part of Morgan’s outfit that I really liked was the graphic on her tank. It was a graphic of a skeleton, which lined up perfectly with her skeleton. I love graphic tanks like that because they are kind of tricky to the eye. And this one was delightful because it had other graphics to make you see the skeleton subliminally. I don’t think you can actually see the design in any of these images because they are so dark, but it is there and it is wonderful. Again, the darkness of the black and white edit makes it impossible to see, but it was worth mentioning!
