In this blog post I am showing off the lovely images from Sarah. (Not hair and makeup Sarah but beautiful Sarah from Mattawan High School.)
It happened to be a rainy, drizzly, and dreary day on this senior session. But that didn’t seem to matter because we got to go into a cozy bookstore and were having a lot of fun, until the end. I won’t go into any detail but I will say that I was highly embarrassed about what happened at the end of this session. I made a very bad decision that led to A Series of Unfortunate Events. Again I don’t want to share any details, but if you ask me, I will tell you what a terrible evening it turned out to be.
But we’re not here to focus on the terrible, we’re here to focus on how lovely Sarah is. This location probably enters one of my top ten favorites in Kalamazoo for senior portraits. It’s got great parking and a short walk to a beautiful landscape. I’ve used it various times throughout the years and tend to get completely different images each time I visit. For this particular session, we were trying to avoid the drizzling rain, so we found the best canopy of trees that we could.
Be More Chill
I love so many parts of this session, but probably my favorite part is the vintage tape cassette player and headphones. They matched perfectly to her vintage “Be More Chill” T-shirt. The vibe was incredible, because it was fun and unique.
We ended the senior session at a bookstore, because Sarah loves to read. It’s evident that she loves to read, because she even brought books as props for her photo session. While going to a big box bookstore is always an option, I love the local bookstores that we have in Kalamazoo. Click here to see another bookstore senior session that I did.
This particular bookstore has a live-in cat. I don’t think Sarah could have been happier than when she met that cat.
Have a meowy good day!
