Of course, I had to do a cap and gown session! Because my Bee Squad is graduating, and it’s a bittersweet time for me. I am so proud of them and all that they have accomplished. But I’m going to miss them! They really shape my year. Every group of girls is so different. And it is truly amazing to get to know each and every girl and see how they grow. My Bee Squad is a constant source of inspiration for me.
If you didn’t know, every year I have a different group of girls entering their senior year who gets to be on my Bee Squad. These girls stick are my team, and I get to get really creative with them! We work together on special photoshoots throughout the year and finish with their senior session. So this cap and gown session was with my Bee Squad from last year.
My favorite creative shoot that I do with my Bee Squad is the gala. I’ve been doing it since I got my very first group of girls. So every year, we do a creative styled shoot with a different theme. I reveal all of these images at the end of the year gala. And the girls work together to choose a charity to collect money for. This year, I’m doing something a bit different and the gala will be part of June Art Hop in Kalamazoo. Click here for more information! And click here to see last year’s gala images.
The Future is Bright
I love getting to do a cap and gown session with my Bee Squad, because I really get to see how they’ve grown. And I get to capture that in these images. Each one of you has such a bright future ahead of you.
I love my Bee Squad, and I love all of their ideas. Thank you for letting me be a part of your journey.
