While it might be surprising to hear, but I do photograph guy seniors. It doesn’t happen as often, but every once in a while I get to photograph a guy. Logan is a senior at Portage Northern, and we had a great time together during this Downtown Kalamazoo senior session!
One of my favorite parts about this session was the posing. We got one of the coolest images where Logan went upside down and kicked his legs up on the wall. It was such a creative idea, and that’s definitely going to be one of my favorite pose ideas!
I loved this rainbow colored wall that we shot in front of in Downtown Kalamazoo. Because it’s so fun to have a pop of color. And posing in front of painted walls for senior sessions almost always ends up with cool images.
This black and white image is so mysterious looking. Because Logan is draped in the shadows. And I just felt like the image needed to be in black and white. I’m definitely getting some film noir vibes from this.
Downtown Kalamazoo has no shortage of photogenic places to take images in front of! And I love going there and taking pictures in alleys, against murals, colored doors, and in coffee shops. So if you’re having a hard time thinking of locations for your senior pics, Downtown Kalamazoo is definitely a good choice to consider! You can see another Downtown Kalamazoo senior session that I did here. But just remember, if you want to go inside somewhere (like a coffee shop) or take pictures on private property, it’s very important that you ask first! And don’t forget to choose a location that reflects who you are.
Thanks Logan for taking your pics with me in Downtown Kalamazoo and being so willing to try fun poses!
