Hannah goes to Loy Norrix high school. She describes herself as ambitious, classy, and outgoing. A cool thing about her is that her family owns two small businesses in Kalamazoo that she loves helping out with. They run a pet service and an event planning service. It’s no wonder why Hannah wants to be an entrepreneur when she grows up! I think she definitely has the personality and the experience to be an entrepreneur. And she’s an incredibly motivated person. For some reason I expected her to be shy. I don’t know why. But she was not shy. She knows exactly what she loves. She was able to articulate what she wanted for this session, but at the same time was willing to let me be creative with her.
Korean Inspired Style
One of the best things about her session was her love of Kpop and the Korean culture. When you really study Korean culture, you can see how different it is from US culture. We wanted the clothing in this session to reflect her love of Korean style, even down to the poses. One of her goals is to learn Korean. It wouldn’t surprise me if she’s already fluent in Korean by the time I’m posting this!
Hannah’s definition of true beauty:
My definition of beauty is finding what makes you confident and owning it. Sometimes society tries to make people change to fit the status quo. As Ralph Waldo Emerson quotes, “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to change you into something else is the greatest accomplishment.” Finding what drives you everyday is the key to so many opportunities. Once it’s clear, you become unstoppable. That’s the beauty of it all!
