Mix and Match ALL of your clothes. Get over it – it doesn’t match. But that’s the point it doesn’t have to. Sometimes the pieces that look good together, don’t have the same pattern or color scheme. But who cares? This is about you, and what you like.
If you think mixing patterns looks good, then wear it! Because I’ll let you in on a little secret, it’s all about how you wear it. And if you wear something confidently that you like, then you’re going to look good.
Don’t Be Afraid
When picking out your clothes AND posing, don’t take yourself too seriously. Give yourself permission to be silly. And don’t be afraid to wear something different. Fashion is all about trying something new. Trends don’t start because people are afraid to wear them. So be willing to experiment with your style.
This session with Kalie was so fun and unique. I love when I get to play dress up. Her red beret is so darling, and I am loving her lace tank top layered over a white shirt. If you notice we did pick clothing that worked within a color scheme. The red beret and top goes with the red in the skirt. And the green jacket goes with the green in the skirt. So it’s not necessarily about matching, it’s more about what goes together. But at the end of the day, wear what YOU want.
During my senior sessions, I always tell my girls, “Bring all of your clothes, even if you don’t think it’s perfect.” Because it’s not about looking perfect. It’s about having fun with your fashion and wearing clothing that represents you. So go ahead, mix and match clothes.
