I love going to Chicago
I don’t think I can say it enough, but I love going to Chicago. I would visit Chicago once a month if I could. At this point I go about every other month. The last couple of times I went I tried to find new spots and mission accomplished! It doesn’t matter the reason I travel to Chicago, but I find I love going to Chicago.
It’s funny to think back to all the times I have been there. (It’s too many to count.) But I specifically remember the first time I went, with a friend in middle school. And just exploring when I was a teen ager. And then again when I went with a big group in college. And all the times I traveled there on my way to another destination. My goodness the memories just pile up.
There was a particular trip I went on about 2 years ago with Sarah. We were headed to a workshop, but the weather was kinda nasty. (As it usually is in the winter months in the midwest.) But we arrived at this gorgeous location that I have never seen before and it felt like it opened up Chicago in a whole new way. It took us away from the Michigan Mile and a few blocks away from the downtown area. I made me realize all over again, I love going to Chicago.
The new area we visited a couple of year ago was similar to this one. In fact, it could have been close. There is something so special about how this city has it’s own personality. I love going to Chicago.
