It’s about time that Jean makes an appearance on my blog. I think the first time I photographed her was in March of 2013. Holy cow, that is 6 and a half years ago! Jean approached me, because she needed images for her album.
I have no idea how I would describe her sound because it’s so different than anything we have heard. I hear an angelic voice with the violin taking on another voice. It’s almost a duet between the two of them.
She is a worship artist who is classically trained in violin. I think I read on her site that she has released 9 albums and a book. All of those works are based on her faith.
You can see her new video here, so you can hear her beautiful sound. (By the way, this video has a great story that accompanies it. I don’t know if she tells the story on her website or Facebook, but it’s a great story to hear.)
Album Covers Throughout the Years
Each time she visits me for images for her new album, we talk about what the album is all about. Those words transform me into the space of the album. If you look at the images, you can see completely different themes and concepts.
Looking back over our SEVERAL sessions over the past 6 years we have a huge catalog of images that I sincerely love. Each one is a story. Our adventures together are inside these photos.
Next I want to travel to Ireland with her. She travels there frequently to perform and worship. I totally understand why. In the rolling hills of Ireland it is easy to see God’s creation and feel his love.
Here are a couple of album covers from Jean’s work over the last 6 years. But these aren’t the only albums she has. She started making music well before she met me.
I am so very humbled that Jean has decided to stay with me over the years. She could have used any photography, but it’s really a blessing that she and I work so well together to create art over and over again. Thank you for trusting me to create a visual for your beautiful sound.
