She’s A Joy
These images are from Joy’s senior session last year. I photographed Joy and her sister a few years ago and I love both of their images equally. You can view her sister’s images HERE.
During her session we found a great place downtown, but not in the heart of downtown. We were just on the outskirts of downtown. Joy had some incredible outfits that worked perfect for downtownish. They get progressively better!
Best Outfits For Joy
Can take a moment to talk about Joy’s outfits? She started with a little mauve dress that worked so well for her figure. But the fit isn’t what I love the most. What I love the most is the white sneakers with the dress. It elevated it to be more trendy and on point.
The second outfit had a white tank with a green overshirt. But again, my favorite part of the outfit isn’t the fit, it’s the bucket hat that does it for me! Actually, the location, just across the street from where we started, makes these images really pop.
Next, Joy wore the best green dress with heels. I like it when there is a pop of color and a more formal option. For this set, we talked a few blocks to a residential area and found a darling house that fit the outfit. It offered the best contract from her bright green. We found an area that framed her green dress with more green. Oh, the joy!
The last two outfits were killer and stunning on Joy. That blue jacket with brown trousers was swoon worthy! The way she rolled up the cuffs and wore heels elevated this look. I really felt like it was a look from a magazine. Not something I normally photograph, but was thrilled to have it in front of my camera!
You Can Get This Jumpsuit Too
Lastly, the jumpsuit was a great punctuation for this stylish session. It was just edgy enough for Joy to make her images stand out. It’s not the exact jumpsuit, but something really similar can be found at Free People HERE. (Of course Free People is my current fav, so I knew it was on their site.)
