http://weareconcert.com/services/project-management/ I did this beautiful and personal session with Mackenzie who is a senior at Mattawan high school. She’s a member of my bee squad, and you can see a fun session here that I did with my bee squad members with donuts and pastel wigs!
Mountain Top Kenzie describes herself as bubbly, patriotic, and spontaneous. And I think we were definitely able to capture these sides of her personality in her pictures.
In her free time, Kenzie does cross country, competitive cheer, and track. And in the future, she wants to do military and police work. A few of Kenzie’s other goals are to hike the Grand Canyon, go skydiving, and visit a redwood forest.
Make it Personal
Kenzie felt “at home” because she used her cowboy hat and boots. She made it into a “country” session because that makes her happy. Another requirement was to be in water. Not just in the background, but actually IN water.
When I asked her where she wanted her session, she wasn’t decisive and couldn’t really pinpoint her perfect location. After we asked the important question “What would you most like in your images?” the clear answer was water. So it became a no-brainer and she didn’t have to think so hard about where she wanted to go.
Those water images were really stunning. What is most remarkable about those images is that they look like a galaxy. Those tiny bubbles in the water could be stars and the reflection of the clouds make up the milky way. I’ve never considered photographing the milky way for a session, but look how lovely it turned out! I guess being “at home” for your session can also mean being as far away from home as possible and swimming with the stars.
Think big, like the galaxy. Even though those are bubbles, not stars, sometimes your location can transport you to another constellation.
Kenzie’s definition of true beauty:
I think true beauty is how you treat other people. It honestly shows the inside and out of you when you treat other people in a good way.
