I have so much to say about this session! I could go on and on and on. It was fun and really beautiful and I loved it. However, it was probably the strangest in terms of what was going on around us. I’ll explain more of that later.
This is the darling, yellow, Ms Mikala. Yellow? If you don’t know what yellow means, then you are behind a little on Valerie Ott Photography news. I did a very fun project with 7 girls. It was a fundraiser for CureSMA. Oh wait a second. Now that I’m starting to type all of that, I realize that I should probably devote an entire blog post to the Art Gala. Ok. I will save the meaning of yellow for another post.
Mikala, your before picture is just too cute. Could you have made it a little more tragic looking? I guess not because you are always smiling.
I commented on Instagram that is picture was pretty amazing. One of my favorites in a big set of favorites. But what was happening behind the scene was crazy. We went to a public location for this part of the shoot and I thought it would be ok. However, there were some hooligans there, who were not acting very nicely. Kalamazoo Public Safety showed up to calm down the situation, but it was a little scary being in a location with unruly people! You are so graceful Mikala, that you didn’t even blink an eye. You kept on looking beautiful and looked stunning in this image!
Mikala hopes to work in Disney World, possibly as TinkerBell. I have a little side note here. I have one regret in my life. In college I saw a poster for internships in Disney World, for which I could have applied. Something was holding me back. I am not sure what, but I thought about it intensely, but I never applied. To this day, I still think about what life would have been had I applied. I wished I would have. Now as an adult, when I visit Disney World, the magic is still there, but I also look at it from a consumer perspective. I wish I would have learned the training they offer their employees because they have some of the most spectacular customer service I have ever seen. So Mikala, I hope you get to fulfill this dream and become TinkerBell. Or even just serve ice cream there – whatever it is, I know it will set you up for a career in whatever you choose!
