Why big hair is important
I LOVE big hair. Let my explain why big hair is important in senior photos. It needs to be styled, first of all. If you hair is not styled, it won’t look as polished. (Don’t worry, Sarah has you covered there.) Next, big hair is important because it need to be visible. If you hair looks flat in real life, it will be invisible in pictures. Yuck. I am saying this as a person with very flat hair in real life. Make it big.
Haley, Mattawan Senior
Haley was a student at Mattawan High School senior. It’s hard to keep up with where Haley is now. Chicago? Grand Rapids? Traveling? She enjoys creating art, horseback riding and playing golf. She wants to be an interior designer once she graduates college, and is really excited about living with her friends after graduation. During her session Haley just exuded creativity, from her fashion choices to how we did make up, this girl has an eye for style that is perfect for someone who dreams of becoming an interior designer. If she doesn’t do interior design, I will she will do something in the art, fashion or some other creative industry. The “creative sky” is the limit for you Haley!
Notice how full her hair is? Big hair is important!
The three words she uses to describe herself are artistic, energetic and brave which all describe her perfectly. Haley was such a delight to work with! She has a loving personality which makes you feel relaxed just being in the same room as her. Her bucket list includes going skydiving, painting a huge mural and traveling to at least 4 continents. With her dedication and love for art and creativity, I’m sure her travels will inspire some worthy creations.
Her definition of true beauty is
Someone who defines grace, who is brave through trouble, who loves when it’s difficult, who has a passion and shows it. Beauty is someone who is true to themselves in front of anyone and behind closed doors. Someone who is kind hearted and gives everyone a chance.
Haley loves to shop at Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, Topshop and Nasty Gal. Her sense of style is definitely an amazing and artistic combination of the different styles of clothing found at each of those stores. Haley said she never leaves the house without her purse, which is an answer most females can certainly relate to!
When it came to her vision for her photo session she wanted one of the locations to include som graffiti, so that it could portray her artsy side. (Accomplished!!) She also wanted to takes some photos with flowers around. (Accomplished!!) These two contrasting settings were perfect for someone like Hayley who has such a diverse personality.
She was excited to work with Valerie Ott Photography because she loved my art work and wanted to have her pictures taken by someone who shared her Christian beliefs. Make sure to sign up for your session soon as spots are starting to fill up!
