So Long Ago
Melissa’s session was so long ago that I almost don’t remember the details. But I do remember the puppies, because well, puppies. I am an animal lover at heart and will always include your pets in your images if you want them in the images! I wish I remembered the names of her puppies, but off the top of my head, I can’t think of them. I do remember that they both had big personalities. I absolutely love it when I can see an animal’s personality. It makes them more like people then pets!
Of course I loved Melissa’s personality as well. From her sunglasses to her overalls, I felt like I got to see who she really is. She is fun and loving and enjoyable to be around.
I think I got away from shooting in the evening in 2017 and 2018. My calendar was so full that I really had to manage every minute. Shooting in the evening became impossible because I was so packed. But in 2019 (and 2020) I returned to shooting during the “golden hour” which made my heart so happy. I hope to do more of it in 2021 because it is the look that I love so much. When the sun can pour in and shine, it makes my senior shine as well. I love the halo of light the graces heads. I was able to shoot Melissa in the “golden hour”.
Warmth and Peace
Some of Melissa’s session was during the “golden hour” and I love those images so much more than the rest because of the sun. When I look at those images I feel warm and at peace. When you can look at images and feel warmth and at peace, you have to be doing something right. I hope that Melissa lives all of her days in warmth and in peace. Wouldn’t that be a lovely way to live?
Here’s hoping there is warmth and peace, and puppy snuggles in your life in 2021. If you want a “golden hour” session please let me know by contact me here.
