Navigating COVID In Summer of 2020
We were trying to navigate what COVID meant when we had Kearney’s senior session. Every place that she wanted to go was still “iffy”. We just weren’t sure about how cautious we needed to be (back when we shot this session which was early summer of 2020).
The Perfect Bookstore
We called the bookstore where we wanted to shoot and it was a hesitant yes. The bookstore had every right to deny us. The bookstore itself was trying to newly navigate being open again. I am sure they were concerned about extra people in the store.
Lysol To The Rescue
But they were open and they let us shoot there. As an extra precaution we carried around a sanitizing wipe and cleaned everything we touched. That was my offer; they didn’t require that of us.
So we carefully went in the store and got what we needed and then headed outside. It was one of our warm and sweaty days out there, but it was great nonetheless.
Pond With Kearney
We found a pond and used the sunlight to our advantage, which always makes me happy. I love being able to put the most amazing sunlight in senior sessions. It’s like all those pictures have a halo of happiness in them. It makes my seniors glow. I will always seek out that light, but in Michigan it’s not available every single day. (Like on the day that I am writing this, I don’t think I have seen the sun in three days.)
