I always, always, always think it’s intimidating when a photographer contacts me and wants pictures. Photographer have to know their stuff and when one contacts me I feel like they will find out I don’t really know what I am doing. Even though I know what I’m doing. It probably doesn’t make sense to anyone else, but that is what happens in my head.
Not only is Kristin’s mom a great photographer, but she is a great photographer too. So double whammy of intimidation!
But that amazing thing about Kristin loving to take pictures, is that she knows what to do when she is having her picture taken. She was able to move her body into the weird ways that I ask, all in an effort to get a good image. She knew that moving her body was the key to getting good angles and good poses. We used this chair right away in our session and you can see that she didn’t need any time to “warm up” to the camera. She was already there.
We went exploring for this session and probably visited places we should not have visited. But we stayed safe and got amazing photos out of it.
I always say that the wind is my best prop. Because the wind provides natural movement and air to any image. I fully accept the wind as my friend. It was working for Kristin!
