Meet Lexy, A Brand Influencer
Lexy is part of my Brand Influencer team. But wait a minute, do you know that I have a Brand Influencer team? Ok. So let’s start there.
My Brand Influencers are 11th or 12th graders from any school in and around Michigan. A Brand Influencer gets lots of extra perks to be part of my team. In return, my Brand Influencers post on social media in honest and authentic ways. They talk about their experiences with Valerie Ott Photography, they show off behind the scenes images and experiences, and they get to do whatever they want for their senior pictures.
Lexy wanted some images with her baby ducks, so I thought it would be a perfect time to get some cute spring images. Because even though baby ducks might be unconventional pets, your pets are part of the family and therefore can be included with your senior pics.
So be honest here for a second. How many of you have brought a pet home without telling your parents first? Take a tip from Lexy. Make sure you bring your mom her favorite drink from Starbucks and a box of donuts before you break the news. Because buttering up always helps. What pet would you bring home if you knew your parents wouldn’t get mad?
Lexy actually bought these baby ducks from Oak Ridge Feed on Stadium in Kalamazoo. I’m thinking this is the best purchase of the week.
What animal would you bring to your senior session? We have photographed horses, dogs, a cat, a lamb and now baby ducks. I think I might be a little uneasy if someone brought a snake, but then again, I’m sure we could create something spectacular with a snake as a prop. All animals are hard to photograph, but does that really matter? They are like your little mini-me’s and it’s always a good idea to have photos with them.
