I was just thinking about skin care and my go-to source for makeup and skin care lately have been YouTube. In the past, it was all on blogs, but lately I find YouTube is a better resource.
So I popped over to YouTube and instantly fell down a click-and-watch hole. I could spend all day on there! There is so much information! As overwhelming as it can be, there are a lot of good channels that help you see a product before you buy it. Often they will tell you the price, so you can budget for something you really want. Skin care and cosmetics companies are smart. They know these influencers could bring them more costumers, so watch out for discount codes on some YouTube accounts.
You Do You
Ultimately I think skin care is a difficult thing because what might work well for one person, will not work well for the next. You can watch all the videos you want, but no two people will have the exact skin type. You might be similar, but there are so many factors that affect your skin, that skin care is different for everyone.
The amount of sleep you get makes a huge difference to skin. When I am more rested my skin looks refreshed. Goodbye dark circles! And diet plays a huge part in your skin as well. I remember growing up, when I heard that sugar caused pimples, I did not *want* to believe it. But now that, as an adult, I control my diet so much more, pimples appear when I eat … you guessed it … sugar. (And I’m not talking about the kind of sugar in apples or mangoes. I am talking about refined white sugar that is added for sweetness to EVERYTHING!)
I sleep and avoid sugar, but I still need some good products to make my skin look and feel it’s best.
