What Are Lifestyle Headshots?
What are lifestyle headshots? They are shots of your head. Just kidding. But in actuality they are so much more than basic headshots. Let’s talk about all the things that are lifestyle headshots.
1. They are more than just profile shots.
Obviously I was joking when I said they are shots of your head. But so many people think headshots need to be a plain shoulder and heads shot of themselves smiling. I say that is the minimum and I never go for just that look. I try to capture your personality in lifestyle headshots that show you in YOUR environment, not mine. They can be full body shots and they can be action shots. “Action shots” can be decided by what you think action shots should be.
2. They are used for social media, marketing and personal use.
They are intended to be used. Put lifestyle headshots everywhere. Not only on the social media for your business, but for your personal social media as well. Are you launching something new for your business? Lifestyle headshots are perfect for that because those images can be tailored around that specific goal. Launch in a beautiful way!
3.They can be shot for specific uses. For example add text.
I just mention using your lifestyle headshots for a specific launch, but you can also use them for specific reasons that are specific to your business or your clients/customers. Adding text to your images is a great way to elevate your brand and images.
If you do a lot of Zoom calls, I would recommend having your laptop or desktop in the images because you can make it clear that it is part of the service you offer.
4. They should be updated every 2 years or when there is a new marketing campaign.
I highly recommend new headshots every 2 years. A lot changes every year, hello 2020. So you need to show that your brand or business stays up to date with current trends. Showing that you stay current means that you stay relevant. Traditional is great, but pertinent is more relevant. These images will show that you are anything but stale and outdated.
So there you have it. I would highly recommend that you get new headshots this spring. Use this contact form to reach out to me!
